Questions buyers ask before ordering

What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order is just 12 ties — enough for a committee or a small team — with bulk tiers that drop steeply at the quantities a school or a uniform programme buys.
How fast will my ties arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and ties ship in about 2 weeks. Woven ties add time for a strike-off on a first order, which is the sample you approve before the run.
Why do ties twist and curl?
Because they were not cut on the true bias. Bias cutting wastes about a third of the cloth, so it is the first corner cut on a cheap tie — and once a tie has twisted, pressing will not bring it back.
What does the interlining do?
It decides the knot size and whether the tie recovers its shape overnight. Heavy gives a full firm knot, lighter gives a smaller softer one. We state the weight so you can choose.
What is a slip stitch?
A single loose thread running the length of the tie with a bar tack at each end. It lets the tie stretch as it is knotted and pull back afterwards. Sewn tight or left out, the tie tears at the fold instead.
Woven or printed?
Woven for crests, stripes and anything that should feel like part of the cloth. Printed for gradients, photographs and very fine multi-colour detail that a loom cannot resolve.
Will a reorder match our existing ties?
Yes — we match to the original strike-off rather than to the last batch, and we keep your stripe widths, angles and colour references on file against your account.
Do you redraw artwork?
Yes, free. A tie is a narrow diagonal canvas seen at a distance, so we set crests and repeats at the right scale and angle, and tell you when detail will be lost at tie scale.
